Fostering Saves Lives
Support a dog in need and provide a bridge to their forever home. We are a foster based organization and are able to foster on a temporary basis depending on availability. Short term fosters are our speciality! We can provide overnight guests a safe place while they await transport for next day or soon to be opportunities.

Voices From Our Fosters

The After-Neuter Vibes…
Custard is giving us his best “I trusted you people…” look after his big day.
He may not realize it now, but this little guy just became part of the solution. By being neutered, Custard is helping prevent future homeless puppies from entering shelters and rescues—puppies just like him.
And this is exactly why fostering saves lives.
When Custard was returned to the shelter, a foster family stepped up and gave him a safe place to land. Because of them, he was able to make it to his neuter appointment, avoid the stress of recovering in a shelter kennel, and spend his healing days surrounded by comfort and love. (Kayla English)

This is how fostering and donations save lives.
Tang was a community cat living outside — unneutered, beat up, and trying to survive. He was trapped in April and finally received the vet care he desperately needed. That’s when we learned Tang is not only FIV+, but also a senior.
His body tells the story of a hard life. Wounds, scars, and injuries from other cats picking on him… but Tang’s story didn’t end there.
Today, Tang is safe in a foster home as the only pet — exactly what this sweet boy needed. He is on the road to recovery with eye ointment, medication, and lots of care for some painful eye sores.
Just look at the difference a foster home and donations for vetting can make.
You can be the reason an animal gets to feel safe, heal, and enjoy living again. Thank you to the Cosgrove family for fostering. (Marybeth Skeans)

“Fostering certainly isn’t always easy, and sometimes it’s extra hard. Charlie isn't available for adoption. Charlie is a hospice foster. We took him to the vet, and unfortunately, it is likely that he has cancer. Optimistically, we may have a few months with him.
We know what we signed up for, and we know this one is going to hurt. But a hot, hard concrete floor in a loud overcrowded shelter is no place for this sweet old man to spend the remainder of his life.
So for however much time Charlie has left, we are going to make sure he knows what it feels like to have a home. He will have a soft bed, good food, plenty of treats, lots of love, and people beside him making sure he is comfortable every step of the way.
Please keep Charlie in your thoughts. And when the time comes, please keep us in them too. Just because he won’t be ours for very long doesn’t mean saying goodbye will hurt any less. For now, we’re just going to love him for as long as we’re lucky enough to have him." (Alex Smith)
Fostering looks different for each dog or cat, but one thing is always true. By fostering, you are changing that life and yours forever. Without someone with a big heart stepping up for Charlie, he would have died at the scary shelter. Now he gets to live out his days being spoiled rotten as he should.
